What do you do when someone hurls an unfounded and, frankly, ridiculous accusation your way? Do as Ellen DeGeneres does. Strike back with a retort so funny and full of peace and love, everyone will be rushing to shower you with adoration.

Just yesterday, irrelevant anti-gay pastor Larry Tomczak was able to get Ellen’s attention. Why? Because he wrote an article in the Christian Post claiming that DeGeneres, with the backing of Taylor Swift (random), and all of Hollywood are spreading the “gay agenda” (Is it like a “straight” daytimer, but, you know, better?).

Here’s an except from Tomczak post, aptly titled “Are You Aware of the Avalanche of Gay Programming Assaulting Your Home?” — oh boy:

“Here’s how Hollywood is promoting homosexuality right now: Super hyped “Empire” series starts with Oscar nominee Terrence Howard having a homosexual son – and he’s a hunk…“Ellen DeGeneres” celebrates her lesbianism and “marriage” in between appearances of guests like Taylor Swift to attract young girls.

Now, the ever fabulous Ellen doesn’t usually read this kind of junk, or react to it, but she decided it was time to clear the air about said “gay agenda” while on her show — and she killed it.

“The only way I’m trying to influence people is to be more kind and compassionate with one another,” she said. “That is the message I’m sending out. I don’t have an agenda.” Adding, “I’m not here to brainwash anyone but…”

ellen

“…listen to the sound of my voice. Attention youth of the world. I want you to live your lives being exactly who you are…The most important thing is to be true to yourself. The second most important thing is that you wear Ellen underwear, and only Ellen underwear.”

Ah, Ellen. You can brainwash us any day of the week.

Can’t get enough of Ellen? Catch her on The Ellen Degeneres Show weekdays at 4 p.m. (ET) on CTV.
