Emma Watson rocks

The actress spoke for gender equality and addressed misconceptions about feminism as she helped launch a new initiative for the United Nations (of which she is a Goodwill Ambassador) called HeForShe. The program aims to include more men as “allies” in the pursuit of equality.

“The more I spoke about feminism, the more I realized that fighting for women’s rights has too often become synonymous with man-hating. If there is one thing I know for certain is that this has to stop. For the record, feminism by definition is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. It is the theory of political, economic and social equality of the sexes.”

She goes on but we’ll let you enjoy it in all its awesome glory (see above). Well done, Emma! [Watch]

Haley Joel Osment has nothing on Kate and Goldie

Kate Hudson was on Alan Carr‘s Chatty Man Show and revealed that she and her mom, Goldie Hawn, can “see dead people. It is not really seeing, it is feeling a spirit; a fifth energy. I believe in energy. I believe our brains can manifest into visual things. When you see something, you are supposed to tell the energy what year it is and that they don’t belong there. When your brain is freaking out on you, you may have to remind it. Why is being dead funny?” Um, it’s not. But Hudson believing that we’re to tell the supposed energy what year it is? Now that’s a little bit funny.

That’s a rap, Sir Paul

Paul McCartney recorded a rap song to encourage people to go vegetarian. OK, maybe not so much a rap but a rant. The musician wants politicians and the public to commit to Meat-Free Mondays, which comes ahead of the UN climate summit in New York on Tuesday. Sir Paul implores people to pledge their support on the campaign website, pledge.meatfreemondays.com. Our apologies in advance as you will have McCartney’s chanting in your head all day.

Kanye’s wife and Johnny Depp’s fiancée have something in common

Kim Kardashian and Amber Heard are the latest stars to have their hacked, naked pics posted online. Kim’s photos found their way onto Reddit and 4chan, but were taken down. Heard’s leak is reportedly the largest so far, as more than 50 private photos were posted online. While the celebs targeted are constantly changing, the idea of it all hasn’t. This continues to be a disgusting invasion of privacy. Even if we’ve seen their naked bodies in movies or in magazines or on sex tapes, it doesn’t make this OK. This will never be OK. [Watch]
