Whether you’re a jeans-and-makeup at home type of isolator, someone who skips the beauty routine in favour of stretchy sweatpants, or a hybrid who falls somewhere in between, everyone can probably agree that Eva Mendes’ makeup is a shoo-in for the Quarantine Hall of Fame. And she owes the honour to her daughters, five-year-old Esmeralda Gosling and four-year-old Amada Gosling. In a post parents everywhere will relate to, Mendez shared the colourful “after” photo of what happened when she allowed her kids to give her a total face makeover with… well, all the colours. “They’ve won,” she captioned the close-up, along with a heart emoji.

They’ve won ❤️

It seems like playing makeup is something of a regular occurrence in the household, since this isn’t the first time in the past few weeks Mendes has shared her done-up face with followers. And even with that 80s-inspired blue eyeshadow fans have been totally there for it, especially given how private Mendes and husband Ryan Gosling typically are about their home life."During these times, I'm so confused about what to post so I'm going to post things that move me in hopes that they move you as well. Since I don't post my about immediate family, and it feels so wrong to post about work, here you go," Mendes opened up on Instagram with a photo of a painting in April. "One of my favorite pieces of art from one of my favorite artist René Magritte. I've always loved this one and it feels especially relevant right now. sending lots of love out there."Mendes further clarified her decision to keep her personal life private in the comments when one fan asked her why she never posts photos of her husband or kids. "hi! I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids," she said. "I'll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won't post pictures of our daily life. And since my children are still so little and don't understand what posting their image really means, I don't have their consent. And I won't post their image until they're old enough to give me consent."[video_embed id='1916119']RELATED: Eva Mendes has always had a nuanced outlook on relationships [/video_embed]Over the course of quarantine, Eva has definitely made good on her promise to share occasionally about the family. Over the past couple of months she’s posted mamma portraits her kids have drawn of her, musings about her messy kitchen, and opened up about the challenges of throwing a memorable birthday party for your young one while social-distancing. “Tired Mama. Stayed up laaate trying to make my baby’s 4th birthday extra special since she won’t see the family,” she wrote in April. “Here’s to all you having a quarantine birthday ...sending extra love. Here’s to all you tired mamas...sending extra love.”Gosling and Mendes opted not to hire a nanny during quarantine and, like regular parents out there, have been trying to find that family-work-school balance at home while isolating. “They’re hands-on parents and don’t have any nannies,” a source told Us Weekly. “Being confined to their home with two small children is exhausting at times, especially without hired help.”In that case, here’s hoping Mendes has plenty more makeup in that bag of hers.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Which one of these dogs do you think is guilty?
