Remember two weeks ago on Killing Eve (Sundays, 10pET, CTV Drama Channel), when Dasha (Harriet Walter) lured Eve (Sandra Oh) to Poland so that she could kill Nico (Owen McDonnell) right in front of her? And how she planned to pin the whole death-by-pitchfork thing on Villanelle (Jodie Comer) in order to create some distance between her and Eve? Except as the latest episode, “End of Game,” revealed, Nico didn’t actually die, and Dasha apparently isn’t very good at her job after all. Oh, and Eve is totally on to her.

A Mother Russia face off

Nico’s status was revealed right away this week after the show took a break in the last episode to focus exclusively on Villanelle meeting her family. Considering no one on this show is ever safe (as tends to be the case when you’re telling a story about assassins), the fact that he survived might have been a bigger shock to fans than his supposed death. Either way, he wasn’t in a very good place at the top of the episode: he can’t breathe, speak, or walk, and he will probably be that way indefinitely. He also wants nothing to do with Eve and blames her for everything, which . . . well, fair. She does keep inviting killers into her life, after all.[video_embed id='1958185']RELATED: Sandra Oh brings style and substance in a new Elle Canada cover story[/video_embed]Case in point? As soon as Eve learned about the big bad that is Dasha, the former MI6 agent tracked her down at an international bowling alley of all places, where she showed off some amazing strike skills and let Dasha know that she knows all the things. Did she play all of her cards too soon? Who's to say. Either way it was a good opportunity to see the ladies get a bit territorial over Villanelle, reminding everyone how much this show loves flipping gender stereotypes whenever it can.

An inside agent

Meanwhile back at the real MI6, Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) continued struggling to find her place underneath Paul (Steve Pemberton) while dealing with all the feelings at home via Geraldine (Gemma Whelan) and her wonky carrots. It really seemed like Carolyn might have been losing it when she flat-out accused Paul of working for The Twelve, but given the next scene between Paul and Konstantin (Kim Bodnia) it definitely looks like she’s onto something.Though what Paul’s position within the organization is remains unclear, it’s obvious he has enough power to scare Konstantin. Villanelle’s former handler was all about putting his escape plan with Irina (Yuli Lagodinsky) and Villanelle in motion this week, and he fast-tracked it after Paul told Konstantin to find out who killed the accountant’s wife. Obviously he had ordered that hit (through Villanelle), so it’s looking like Konstantin is the one who’s been siphoning off money from that secret account all along. That sly guy.

A new (potential) killer

Villanelle was busy making her own plans this week when she was officially promoted only to learn she still had to do the same old killing “bull****.” Her anger was enough to cause her to act out within the organization and with Konstantin, and then again with Irina when Irina caused a big stink about not escaping with her dad’s other “daughter.”So when Villanelle showed up at Irina’s school you knew it was going to be bad news. Even though V apparently had no intentions of harming the girl, it was pretty clear she was messing with her head as she let her drive that car up and down the track. Later, when Irina brutally ran over her mother’s sandwich-making boyfriend (twice!), viewers were likely left wondering if V convinced her to do it—that driving connection was too good. And Konstantin’s face when he witnessed the whole thing said it all: his daughter may be just as horrifying as the killer he’s trying to control. So now, does this mean the great escape is off? Is the boyfriend actually dead? And will Konstantin ditch his efforts to help Villanelle now that he realizes what kind of an influence she has on his daughter? There are a lot of big questions and only two episodes left in the season, so we might as well buckle up. After all, Irina’s in the driver’s seat.Killing Eve airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on CTV Drama Channel.[video_embed id='1958191']BEFORE YOU GO: Can we see some ID?
