Let’s face the facts. We love Ikea furniture, but assembling it is a giant pain in the butt. A million different parts, missing screws, extra pieces. It’s a daunting, sanity-testing experience that usually ends up in utter frustration (and hopefully a favourite piece of furniture). We’ve all been there. Even Ryan Reynolds.
In a hilarious spoof video for GQ, the Canadian actor and new father is seen attempting to assemble an Ikea baby crib. And boy does the experience look familiar.
In the video, we see Reynolds struggling through all of the confusion and frustration that we have endured so many times when assembling our own Scandinavian coffee tables, beds, cabinets and book shelves.
He even finds a way to cut corners like we do, then experiences that special, joyous feeling when his new piece of furniture is complete. (For the record, he REALLY cuts corners in the crib assembly!)
Watch the hilarious video above. It’s just too real.
