For many of us right now, our trips outdoors have become the highlight of our days. And because Canada's spring weather is all over the place, a jacket is definitely a must.Stylist Erica Wark highlights some versatile coats that are on-trend, because let's face it, having a little fun with fashion during this stressful time can be just the pick-me-up we all need.

THE TRENCH

The traditional trench coat is a must-have for spring because of its versatility. The cut is timeless and classic, but it can easily be modernized by the fabrics or colours used season to season. You can make the trench the focal point of an outfit or simply throw it on over an outfit simply for layering purposes.

THE ANORAK

This spring, like so many other trends from the '90s, the anorak is having a moment once again. Sportier than a denim jacket and more stylish than most raincoats, anoraks make a great wind-resistant shell for spring’s transitional weather.

The moto jacket, or biker jacket, was introduced to us by high-end designers like Balenciaga. Black leather is the standard for many moto jackets, but today, it comes in an array of colours in all sorts of fabrics including linen, wool, cotton and denim.
