From the Fast & Furious movies to The Alienist, Luke Evans has been taking over the big and small screens for years and now, he’s ready to work his way into our playlists.
The actor announced on Wednesday that he recently signed a record deal and is working on his debut album.
Been keeping this under wraps but now it’s out! I’ve signed a record deal and I’ve been in the studio recording my first ever album! I’m over the moon!! My first love has always been singing. FYI… ITS NOT A SHOW TUNES ALBUM! More info to come in the next few months. Stay tuned! pic.twitter.com/06rNjsxMRy

Taking on the role of Gaston in 2017’s musical Beauty and the Beast, Luke proved that he does, in fact, have the range, and we can’t wait to see what this album sounds like—though he has confirmed on Twitter that it won’t be a show tunes album (it’s fine, we’re fine. . .we’re not theatre kids at all).
Evans isn’t the only actor dipping his toes into the music scene this year. In June, Jeremy Renner set his sights on a new side gig, releasing his single “Heaven Don’t Have A Name.”
While we wait for more details on his first album, we’ll just be over here listening to “Gaston” on repeat. Or, as we like to call it, just a regular Wednesday.
