Nothing Fergalicious about it
Well, that was different. If you happened to catch any of Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game, and tuned in before tip-off, then chances are you’re still haunted by Fergie‘s take on the “Star Spangled Banner.” If you missed it, consider yourselves lucky. But if you feel like gambling with your hearing, here you go:
Needless to say, reaction was … not good. In fact, people slammed her over-the-topness with the force of 1,000 dunks.
Literally dying at these reactions. Fergie with the worst rendition ever. Embiid 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/ociAsWf0LC

Kevin Hart: “I just engineered the biggest pre-game disaster in television history.”
Fergie: “Hold my beer.”

Who saw Fergie’s national anthem performance at the NBA All Star Game? I think mine was better lowkey
— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) February 19, 2018
Fergie might be asking where is the love but, come on. Have singers not learned by now? You don’t mess with the anthem. You keep it simple, maaaaaaaaaybe throw in a run or two but that’s it. Though this dude makes a very good point.
Fergie didn’t sing the National Anthem that America needed. She sang the anthem that America deserved. pic.twitter.com/Q8gph81H0P

Black Panther crushed the competition, has the fifth biggest opening of all time
Wakanda forever! Black Panther blew up the box office this weekend, taking in $201.8 million over the three days, and a projected $235 million over the four-day holiday weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Add in the $169 million it took in overseas and that goes beyond what it was tracking.
That puts Black Panther in the record books, as the fifth-biggest opener weekend ever, and also bested Deadpool as the best February opening. Combine its numbers with the stellar reviews from critics and audiences and Black Panther needs to live on and on. Studios who thought they had the market cornered on what kind of superheroes people want to see got a wake up call with Wonder Woman last year, and now, with Black Panther. The Marvel Comics Universe is a wonderful world but director Ryan Coogler just proved it could be so much more.
Jamie Foxx peaces out of interview after being asked about Katie Holmes
Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes have never come out and officially announced they are a couple, nor have they done any pap walks or Instagram shoots. So the last thing either of them want to talk about in interviews is their relationship. But that didn’t stop ESPN’s Michael Smith from going off-book while Jamie was interviewed on Friday, and asked about his person ilfe.
Guess Jamie Foxx had to go and couldn’t answer a question about playing basketball with Katie Holmes 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/XYq9fPHt3v

His reaction? Perfect. What’s not to love?
Jennifer Lawrence also wants to know what’s going on between Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss
We all know Jennifer Lawrence loves to keep up with the Kardashians but we just assumed that was her love of reality TV. Nope, turns out, J-Law also digs some good celebrity gossip.
During an interview with The New York Times, she asked, “I’d like to know what’s going on with Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift, that’s the honest to God truth. Is nobody else curious? It’s keeping me up at night. What happened?”
Ha! While she should’ve been promoting her upcoming movie, Red Sparrow, Lawrence pulled focus for more pressing matters. And we couldn’t agree more. Is Taylor and Karlie’s friendship over? The former besties were practically inseparable but with Swifty wearing a shirt with the names of her friends written on it (minus Kloss’) in her “Look What You Made Me Do” video, and Karlie hanging out with Tay’s enemy, Katy Perry, yes, inquiring minds want to know. Jen, keep asking the tough questions.
Justin Theroux wants us all to know he broke up with Jennifer Aniston
It’s becoming more and more obvious that Justin Theroux dumped Jennifer Aniston. At least, that’s what the immediate media reports want to tell you. The gist, for the most part, is that he’s an edgy, hipstery New Yorker, she loves her L.A. lifestyle and those differences were too much. But if you look a little closer, it’s pretty one-sided and it appears as though Justin’s people are working overtime to set the tone and control the narrative. Which makes us wonder if he’s hiding something.
People is reporting that Jen and Justin saw each other one last time, on Valentine’s Day (he flew out to her), because they were divided on how and when to announce. Instead of waiting until the end of Friday before a long weekend, which is when you release news like this if you’re trying to bury a story as best as possible, the announcement came a day earlier. Was that a leak from Theroux’s side? According to the mag’s source, “Jen didn’t want to announce it for as long as possible, because she wanted to avoid the media attention.” They added, however, that Justin “wanted to make the announcement so he can live his life” and “Justin gave up many months ago.”
Guess the question is, coming out of this four-day weekend, how will Jen handle the story? What will come from her side? Will she try and right this ship, get a little more sympathy and let it play out a little while longer, or let it slide? Oooh, it’s going to be a good week.
