It’s finally happened, people. As of last night, you can finally watch (some of) Lemonade for free. Thank you, Queen B!
For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past few months, Lemonade is Beyoncé‘s kick-ass new visual album, and it is the most inspirational, empowering thing ever. It premiered on HBO at the end of April and then was available for purchase only through iTunes, Amazon or Jay Z‘s streaming service, Tidal. So if you weren’t willing or able to pay for the album, you were out of luck. Until now. Beyoncé has now released the video for her song, ‘Sorry’ on her YouTube channel so all her worshipers can experience it.
A brief summary: it’s flawless and she’s flawless. But we knew that already (she literally wrote a song about it).
The entire album is a cinematic masterpiece people will be talking about for years. The costumes and makeup in this video alone are enough to make any film-junkie go nuts. Beyoncé has always been amazing but she has outdone herself with Lemonade. There aren’t words enough to describe it, you simply have to watch.
Sidenote: in case you’ve been wondering, ‘Sorry’ is the song that most of those Beyonce Lemonade quotes are coming from. So if you were wondering about ‘boy, bye’ and ‘he better call Becky with the good hair,’ this is your source. Study up, my friends.
Lemonade will be presented on HBO Canada at 9:00PM ET on June 25 and 8:00PM ET on June 26.
