Back in 1995, at the tender age of three, Briggs Fussy and Brittney Husbyn walked down the aisle hand-in-hand. Little did they know, this was sort of their rehearsal for things to come 20 years later.
The two were the flower girl and ring bearer at the wedding of Fussy’s godmother and Husbyn’s family friend. After that fateful day, the Minnesotan natives never saw each other again — until one particular high school freshman class brought them together.
“She [Husbyn] turned around one day in class and said ‘I think I have a picture of you on my wall at home,’ ” Briggs told FOX 9. “I didn’t even know her before she turned around in class and told me that.”
The two have been inseparable ever since that chance encounter. They went on to date for four years, all through high school and then college, until Fussy finally popped the question. But he admits that he knew all along that Husbyn was the girl for him.
“I had a feeling I was going to marry Brittney after about two months,” Fussy said.
Earlier this week, the two walked down the aisle for the second time in their life, at the very same chapel they first met at.
“I just knew that, no matter what happened, he loved me more than anything,” Husbyn said. “It’s a fairytale. It’s everything I could have hoped for ’cause it’s just like a perfect little story.”
