Have you ever heard the expression “freezing your pants off”? Because it’s happening in Minneapolis – literally.
All over the city, frozen pants are appearing on sidewalks, on yards, and even in front of stores. But the weird thing about these pants is that they aren’t just laying on the floor, people are finding them standing upright.
The trend began after a resident decided to have a little fun with the cold weather, which has been averaging around -17 C in the city lately. He froze a pair of his jeans, planted them in his yard standing up and then took a photo of the display, which he then shared on Facebook.
Ever since, other residents have chimed in with their own denim tributes. And now parts of the city are starting to look more like used clothing stores than actual neighbourhoods. Check it out for yourself in the video above.
