Remember that awesome sparring match between Arya Stark and Brienne of Tarth in episode four of this season of Game of Thrones (Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO Canada)? Brienne was schooling her clumsy squire, Podrick Payne, in the courtyard of Winterfell when young Arya, itching from not having ‘Needled’ anyone for a few days, stepped in for a bit of swordplay. The three-plus minutes that followed were definitely entertaining. It’s basically impossible to get tired of watching Arya make people bigger than her look foolish.

But one YouTube user, Omid G, thought the scene could be a little more exciting, taking the liberty of adding in some special effects inspired by another epic fantasy series.

As you can see, the character’s weapons have retained their metallic clank, but they’re now accompanied by the familiar glow, hums and hisses of the Jedi weapon of choice. Though Arya’s dagger didn’t get the space-age treatment, for whatever reason…perhaps lightsabers have a minimum required length. We don’t know.

But they do make just about everything better, don’t they? The Internet certainly thinks so. It has quite a history of putting these sci-fi sabers in the hands of unsuspecting warriors, human or otherwise.

In fact, it’s not even the first time we’ve seen it in the Game of Thrones setting.

We still appreciate it Omid. And judging by the millions of views the video has accumulated over the last few days, so does the rest of the world. Think you can do the Mountain vs the Viper battle next (minus the head-crushing part…we can’t watch that any more.)

Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO Canada.
