The beginning of the end is upon us. After months of being shrouded in secrecy, we’re finally getting a tiny speck of information on the final season of Game of Thrones. Just announced on Tuesday, HBO has confirmed that Season 8 of GoT will premiere April 2019. Sunday nights are about to get shook.

Posting a teaser video on their social media pages, HBO is using the hashtag #ForTheThrone to promote our final trip to Westeros, with a recap of some of the most epic battles and brutal deaths from the past seven seasons. Honestly, we’re impressed they were able to summarize the show so succinctly. When we think of GoT, brief isn’t a word that comes to mind.

Of course, HBO isn’t giving away anything other than information on the premiere date at this point, but that hasn’t stopped fans from going full Wildling on Twitter.

Some fans are excited for the many wigs of GoT to return and inevitably snatch our metaphorical hair pieces.

Looks like Jon Snow knows something, which is how to stream the final season of GoT.

Members of the GoT watch are uniting.

Fans are compiling lists of moments they can’t wait to see in the final season, including this reunion. We better see this reunion. A girl needs a happy reunion.

Even with all the excitement surrounding the newly announced season premiere, there’s also the harsh reality check that today’s news signals the end of GoT. We’re not ready.

There’s not much left to do but wait. Also, re-watch all seven seasons of Game of Thrones on Crave. Then wait some more.
