There are few things in the kitchen more infuriating than waiting for a pot of water to boil. When you’re stomach’s a-growling, it feels like FOREVER until those little bubbles appear. This genius pasta hack (in the video, above) is so simple you’re going to feel dumb for not thinking of it earlier: Pasta in a pan, people. A PAN. Not only does it cut the cooking time by a significant margin, but it also saves you from having to strain the pasta. Your wrists will thank you when you don’t have to pour a behemoth pot of water into the sink.

Also, each time you use this hack you’re saving at least half a litre of water. So really, you’re also doing your part for Mother Earth. Everybody wins!
