Massive bugs usually elicit equally massive screams, which is why we’re giving a lot of cred to Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwell.
The British singer was performing live in Arizona when a large, thumb-sized flying insect decided to look for a home in her hair. Even though that would be enough to give anyone the chills, Thrirwell only mildly panicked at first as she fruitlessly attempted to shake the insect off.
But she was no match: the bug eventually disappeared into her epic ‘do.
Cannot believe what just happened on stage..the biggest bug ever just burrowed itself into Jade’s mane!!Leigh x pic.twitter.com/QVpUj3NjxH

Like a true professional though, the star kept it together even with that disgusting little insect burrowing around in her head. The group even managed to think up a few insect-themes lines on the fly (see what we did there?).

The group was singing their rendition of “How Ya Doin'” when the bug showed up, which is ironic because we can assume Thirwell probably wasn’t “doin'” very well at the time. The singer is even seen trying to disguise a bug-removal maneuver as a hair flip.
But it wasn’t until groupmate Perrie Edwards came from behind and whacked the bug with a shoe that the horror truly ended.
