Another day, another celeb being criticized by the masses. This time, Gigi Hadid is the target and people are saying that her fame is only because of the family that she was born into. In true IDGAF Hadid-fashion, she had the perfect response.

❤️A sense of trust that can’t be broken, a depth of love that goes unspoken…. #ProudMommy @victoriassecret

A post shared by YOLANDA (@yolanda.hadid) on

She spoke up about the matter while in Sydney promoting her collection with Reebok, by saying, “People say that I don’t deserve to be where I am because I come from this successful family, but my parents were f***ing hardworking.”

Her mom, Yolanda Foster is a model and public figure and her father, Mohamed Hadid is a real estate developer, but Gigi explains that their success didn’t happen overnight. She said, “My dad was a refugee. My mum was on a farm, went to New York, and worked to send money back to her family. They worked their a***s off, and they’ve given me a life because of their hard work, and I work hard to honour that.”

Like her parents, Hadid is no stranger to hard work. At only 23-years-old, she’s one of the top models in the world and has been featured on numerous Vogue covers, has walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and has proven a successful designer and entrepreneur. Her ’80s and ’90s sportswear collaboration with Reebok, makeup collection with Maybelline and eyewear collection with Vogue Eyewear go to show that the girl puts in the effort.

But since people seem to have nothing better to do, it’s only a matter of time until someone criticizes Hadid again. And once that happens, we’ll patiently await her perfect clapback to shut them down.
