There are a lot of evil ways to seek revenge on an ex-lover who did you wrong. Carrie Underwood gave a whole bunch of options in 2005: digging your key into the side of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive; carving your name into his leather seats; taking a Louisville slugger to both headlights; slashing a hole in all four car tires…for example.
But if your ex doesn’t have a car, these are pretty useless. (Also: vandalism, which is a criminal offence. So we obvs don’t recommend it.)
That’s why we’re calling attention to this one woman’s approach to revenge. It’s the perfect mix of hilarious cruelty and mostly harmless fun.
Reddit user Khaleesiscorned shared with Reddit the story of how his ex is getting back at him for his unfaithful ways. He refers to her as “Dany,” which we can only assume is a reference to Daenerys Targaryen, The Mother of Dragons, played by Emilia Clarke. Khaleesiscorned says that Dany (we’re calling her the Mother of Spoilers) cut off “every form of communication” after they broke up, blocking him on all social media platforms, too.
Except for Mondays.
On Monday, Dany unblocks her ex in order to send spoilers for the latest Game of Thrones episode. It’s kind of brilliant in its harmless, yet totally infuriating way.
In the now-deleted Reddit post, Khaleesiscorned wrote that “On the Monday after season 6 premiered she unblocked me and I saw I had messages from her. I was excited because I thought maybe she forgave me and we could move on, but it was literally just every spoiler from the first episode.”
He continued, “Since then she spoils the show for me every week. I tried to ask her to stop, but she blocks me immediately after she sends the message. I blocked her on whatsapp, but she did it via Facebook. Then the next week it was text.”
Dany sounds like she has a good sense of humour. “She even borrowed one of our mutual friends phones to do it, and I fell for that,” the Reddit user wrote.
As annoying as this may be, Khaleesiscorned is probably thankful that his ex Dany is less violent than the real Mother of Dragons.
