For outdoorsy types, pretty much every forest could make for a gorgeous wedding venue. If you like camping and spending time in nature with your significant other, it seems only logical that you tie the knot somewhere that means a lot to both of you. The only problem is: not everyone who wants to come to your wedding wants to camp. In fact, it’s likely very few people who want to come to your wedding want to camp.

That’s exactly the situation the newly-engaged Dayna and Steph ran into when hunting for a venue. They met at summer camp (aw!) and wanted a venue that re-captured that playfulness and love for the outdoors that was so crucial to their meeting. They turned to property and design expert Tommy Smythe and Where to I Do? (Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Gusto) to get the job done.

Thankfully, it’s 2019 and we no longer have to choose between camping and comfort. There’s even a venue dedicated to rustic-chic weddings that seems perfect for our brides. Whispering Springs Wilderness Retreat boasts not only glamorous tents, swanky cabins, and amenities like swimming, yoga and volleyball to keep you busy all weekend, there’s also an outdoor chapel complete with stained glass windows.

Even if you passionately hate camping, you have to admit, this would be a glorious place to get married and that’s exactly what Dayna and Steph think. The ultimate venue choice isn’t going to be easy though—Tommy’s got two other equally unique properties to show them.
