One of the great beauties of the internet is the fact that nothing is ever hidden or forgotten. The Rock learned that the hard way when someone was able to find this stunning photo of him:

What. A. Stud. The turtleneck. The stance. The mom-jeans. The tissue under the elbow. And, of course, the fanny pack. It all comes together to form a beautifully terrible image that anyone with internet access recognizes immediately. There’s even an Instagram account dedicated to re-posting the picture every single day.

Thankfully, instead of going all Agent Hobbs on whoever unearthed this little gem, The Rock has embraced it as a part of his past. Very mature of him. That doesn’t mean that he’s all that happy when someone brings it up again though.

And people love to bring it up! Usually in the form of parody. They do say that imitation is the best form of flattery.

We have Girl-The-Rock:

Dog-The-Rock:

Baby-The-Rock:

And Rogen-The-Rock:

He’s such a good sport about it though!

And now the latest installment of The Rock Fanny Pack Saga features Jeff Goldblum and Liam Hemsworth. All three actors were on The Graham Norton Show this weekend promoting new movies. The Rock was on for his new action comedy with Kevin Hart, Central Intelligence, in which his character fully embraces the fanny pack. Looks like Jeff and Liam just couldn’t pass up such a perfect opportunity to mock The Rock.

‘That turtleneck/fanny pack swag.’ Thank you for that sentence. On the show he also explains the reasoning behind the tissue under his elbow in case you were wondering. What he had his arm on was very dirty and he needed to ‘protect the turtleneck.’ Good call.

We look forward to the next time the internet brings back this photo. It’s sure to be good!
