There’s nothing like a killer collaboration between two artists. Now, a musical artist and a sandwich artist is a whole different level of mastery, but when you combine singer-rapper Lil Nas X and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, what you get is a delectable duo.

If you recall, a couple weeks back, Lil Nas — whose “Old Town Road” tops the chart for the umpteenth week — debuted a new song called “Panini.” For the remix, he hoped to find someone as equally tantalizing as Billy Ray Cyrus, so considering the name of his second song, it only made sense to enlist a world-famous food expert. Enter Ramsay. This past Monday, the restaurateur and Masterchef and Hell’s Kitchen star took to Twitter to celebrate 10 million YouTube subscribers. Gordon showed his appreciation by apologizing for nothing and cooking up a beautiful loaded burger with a fried egg on top. “Thanks to all of you who’ve been in my kitchen,” he wrote. But rather than applauding that feat, Lil Nas, who just happened to be in London, used the opportunity to reach out to Gordon and ask him to teach him how to make a panini. Because who doesn’t love a toasted, melty sandwich?

It took Ramsay mere minutes to reply with a simple, “Name the day…” Lil Nas replied enthusiastically (and just as promptly), saying Wednesday worked for him and because this is how famous people work, they met up on Wednesday. And, well, the rest is sandwich history.

Paninis on point.

One person tweeted to Lil Nas the question on everyone’s mind and his answer was unexpected.

It’s been quite the week for Lil Nas X, who not only made sandwiches with the man who made “panini head” one of the greatest insults ever, but ended Pride Month with a bang — by coming out. Can’t wait to see what he serves up next.
