When it comes to style and sport, looking the part for your game of choice is nearly as important as skill level.

It’s like this: you step on the green/court/track dressed in your new shorts/shoes/shirt, tags freshly cut, and suddenly you feel a surge of pure confidence in your capabilities to dominate the game or race. “I am the greatest athlete on planet earth!!” your subconscious screams, rattling your skull.

This ego boost, courtesy of new threads, is real. Which is why we’re thrilled to learn that Bill Murray is launching a line of golf wear, which, in wearing, can only add to any player’s game.

It’s like all our Caddyshack hopes and dreams are finally coming true!

The brand is called William Murray Golf, and it’s in partnership with The Chive. Upon clicking into the website, a photo pops up of Murray looking poised and on point (wearing items from his Spring 2017 collection no less) swinging a club.

“You look at the golf world right now, it’s just not that cool,” Murray’s brother told Joel Murray told New York Times. “I’ve got boys that are 26, 25, and they’re not into golf like we were growing up. They think it takes too long.”

This collection definitely hits the cool mark.

As to be expected, the entire line oozes with Murray’s influence. Polos dotted with tiny Old Fashion cocktails, button-downs in vibrant, over-sized florals; shorts in look-at-me tartan, hats and handy golf accessories like ball markers. It’s fresh and playful and, yes, cool.

With Father’s Day on the horizon, dads everywhere will surely be asking for a Murray-approved golf shirt to wear the next time they hit the links for a round of 18 with their pals.
