Ever wonder what it would be like to sit in a tub of ramen? Well, all your soup-based bath dreams have come true thanks to the Village Vanguard online store. For only $4, you can bathe in flavours like curry, beef broth, miso, ramen, curry and fried noodles. And for the adventurous, a kimchi based Korean-style spicy stew.
Though Rocket 24 news tells us that the product packaging looks just like traditional soup flavouring packets, unlike your instant miso, these bath additives sadly aren’t edible. Why would one want to take a bath in soup? Comfort is one guess (imagine being enveloped in a warm, soothing bowl of beef broth), but we’re going to say novelty is why these would make it into your shopping cart.
If plain old scents aren’t enough for you, Yunessun Spa Resort in Japan actually offers their customers true ramen baths. The bath’s soup-base, made of pork broth, contains collagen that is meant to increase metabolism and do wonders for the skin. You can also soak in wine, green tea, coffee or sake at this spa, so they obviously take their food skincare very seriously.
As we regrettably won’t be making it to Japan anytime soon, these broth bath packets will have to do. The only precaution, according to the website? “Beware of using on an empty stomach!”
