We think it’s safe to say that Grey’s Anatomy fans are a passionate bunch. Whether it’s a storyline they love or loathe, or something juicy going on behind the scenes, they let their opinions be known. But Sarah Drew wants to put a pin in some of the bad stuff being said about her soon-to-be-former-co-star Kelly McCreary.

There are Grey’s viewers out there who aren’t pleased with McCreary’s character, Maggie Pierce, embarking on a full-blown relationship with Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) — the ex-husband of Drew’s character, April Kepner. And the Japril fans are loudly voicing their disdain for Jaggie, which would be fine if they weren’t taking it to a gross level. So Drew has taken to Twitter to share her thoughts on the matter. In a nutshell? Leave Kelly alone!

It obviously doesn’t help that Drew, along with co-star Jessica Capshaw, are leaving the long-running medical drama. But what’s likely fueling the fire of hate towards McCreary is the promo for this week’s episode which strongly suggests some tragedy for April fans.

But, again, none of the hate should be directed at McCreary. She already had it bad enough when she first debuted, having to fill the holes left by Meredith’s BFF, Cristina, and sister, Lexie. McCreary is simply an actress taking the words on a script and trying to turn them into something lovely so let’s cut her a little slack, shall we?

Of course, there are those who don’t need convincing and love what McCreary does, as well as the Jackson/Maggie pairing. For others, well, not so much. And that’s fine. But enough with the bullying and trolling. Kelly’s a real person and doesn’t need it.
