David Beckham may be a former soccer star who can bend it like, well you know, husband of a Spice girl, father of four and model with a successful fragrance line that boasts his name, but that’s not enough. Becks has inked a deal with L’Oréal’s Biotherm Homme to be the brand’s first global ambassador. What does that title even mean? We don’t know. What we do know is he will be working with the company to create a collection of skincare and grooming products for men.
His not-yet-named line (Handsome Man Cosmetics? Gorgeous McGorgeousface Grooming?) of men’s products will launch sometime in 2017 and will feature eight to 12 essentials that will be available for less than $50.
In an ad for Biotherm Homme, Beckham came clean about his regime. He admits that his skin is “pretty tough but slightly sensitive as well,” and his routine of cleansing and moisturizing is quick: he’s “in and out in seven minutes.” As for the inspiration for his sexy scruff? “Probably laziness,” David smirks.
Most importantly, appearances aren’t everything, says Beckham. “It’s not just about how you look, it’s how you feel.” Truer words were never spoken. Because what man wouldn’t want
to look just like a simple, quick, inexpensive maintenance routine like David’s?
