Remember when Neville Longbottom was one of the unfortunate Harry Potter characters who kind of got a raw deal? We mean, he COULD have been The Boy Who Lived, since he shared a birthday with Harry and all, but instead he grew up to have a much different fate. A fate that included the actor who played him in the films, Matthew Lewis, growing up to be ridiculously good-looking.
He wasn’t the only child star who grew up to surprise us. We still can’t get over the fact that How to Get Away With Murder Star Alfred Enoch was once Dean Thomas. Or that Emma Watson is now one of our favourite feminists.
Perhaps the most shocking of all though is what’s become of Harry Potter star Josh Herdman.
Now that we’re
obsessing thinking about it he also grew up pretty handsome. Look at that bone structure, the jawline, those cheekbones and those eyes… But we digress!
The 28-year-old was once best known for playing one of Draco Malfoy’s goonies, Gregory Goyle. A Slytherin with a penchant for bullying, Goyle hung out mostly with his equally slimy buddy Vincent Crabbe. Given the character’s background and how well Herdman portrayed him, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the actor may be better known in the near future as a cage fighter and not as an actor at all.

Yes, Goyle, we mean Herdman made his debut over the weekend when he took on — and beat — Janusz Walachowski in East London. Apparently he’s been training in jujitsu for the past five years, and moving on to MMA just made sense.
So does that mean Herdman is completely out of the acting game? Not at all.
“I haven’t fallen out of love with it, I still have an agent and still go for auditions. It’s just a little bit like playing the lottery for a living,” he told interviewers recently.
We’re glad to hear it. Hey if John Cena can do WWE and make movies with Mark Wahlberg, anyone can.
