Over the past few years, Kristen Stewart has found many ways to make a pile of cash from Chanel. She starred in clothing ad campaigns for Karl Lagerfeld in 2014 and 2015, she’s made front row appearances at their runway shows, and she’s even played Coco Chanel in Karl Lagerfeld‘s short film Once and Forever. Now they’re paying her for her eyes.
No, they haven’t purchased her eyes in some weird Hollywood-meets-Paris couture, underground organ harvest ring. The popular fashion house just named K-Stew as the face of Chanel makeup. Her eyes (and nose and hair, presumably) are set to appear in a new campaign called ‘Collection Eyes 2016,’ shot by famous fashion photographer Mario Testino.
The campaign will feature a variety of black and white shots of Stewart that will attempt to “incarnate the different facets of a contemporary woman.” So far, all we get are her eyes.
K-Stew is following in the footsteps of previous Chanel makeup models Keira Knightley and Gisele Bündchen. That’s pretty good company! But can we just back track for a second and look at those eyes? They follow you everwhere. Stop staring, Kristen.
‘Collection Eyes 2016’ is set to debut in March, so until then, she’s watching you.
