“You know who I am? You know where you are?”

Those were the first questions a Vancouver man asked when he found a complete stranger sleeping in his bed. While most of us would probably start off with something more along the lines of, you know, “get out” or “I’m calling 911,” this guy managed to stay surprisingly calm given the circumstances. After first attempting to coax the stranger out of his own bed, the homeowner eventually realized he was dealing with someone who seemed genuinely confused.

“Dude, you know my brother,” the stranger says.

“You’ve never seen me before in your whole life, I’ve never seen you,” the homeowner replies.

After realizing this was a losing battle, and realizing that the stranger was (likely) harmless (albeit drunk), the man did something only a Canadian would do: offered the stranger another bed in his own house.

If this were any other country in the world, this is not how the story would go down.

As the stranger slowly realized his mistake, he mentioned that he “used to live in this house.” Which certainly explains how he might’ve stumbled in there in his inebriated state. The mystery man refused the generous offer and left the home, but not before the two men said “it was nice meeting you.”

Of course, there’s always the chance the video could be a hoax (but we’re really hoping it’s not). The clip first appeared on YouTube, and has since racked up almost two million views. You can check it out below and judge for yourself:
