Apple Martin may be growing up, but she’s still the apple of her mother’s eye. Gwyneth Paltrow got all goopy with a sweet birthday Instagram tribute to her daughter, sharing some rare photos of the now-16-year-old that have had fans everywhere in their feelings. Fact: Apple is a true Gwyneth mini-me.“I can't believe I’m actually writing these words but... happy sweet sixteen my darling girl," Paltrow captioned a series of photos, in which Apple poses on the couch in an adorable floral frock. In the last photo, she also gives a bandaged thumbs up, which seems to showcase the same personality her mum sweetly writes about loving so much. "You are the light of my heart, you are pure joy. You are wickedly intelligent and you have the best, most dry, most brilliant sense of humour. I have the best time being your mom.”
Many of Paltrow’s celebrity friends were quick to wish Apple their best in the comments section. Kate Hudson, Jenni Konner, Jessica Capshaw, Kevin McHale, Ali Wentworth and Lily Aldridge all chimed in with their best birthday wishes. “Oh my gosh, I cannot believe she is 16!!! What a gorgeous, bright spirit,” wrote Kate Bosworth. “Gorgeous girl. ( inside and out) Beautiful message. Happy BIRTH day mumma and happy birthday to your beautiful daughter,” Elle MacPherson added.[video_embed id='1933785']RELATED: Gwyneth Paltrow hints that isolation has made her sexually frustrated[/video_embed]Apple isn’t the first Martin to observe a birthday in quarantine. Paltrow’s son Moses turned 14 last month, and to celebrate Paltrow threw a physically distanced birthday parade with many of his friends and family. “This kid is the best and he is 14 today. Unbelievable,” Paltrow wrote in her
IG tribute. “He is the kindest little man and he has the most unique way of looking at the world and expressing himself. Mosey, I could not be more proud of you in every way. You conquer all you set out to do, you never quit, you are immensely talented and a great friend. I hope you never stop hugging me goodbye when you go into the next room. I love you.”Paltrow shares Apple and Moses with her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. The couple famously decided to “consciously uncouple” in 2016; he has been dating
Dakota Johnson since 2017, and Paltrow is now married to frequent Ryan Murphy co-collaborator,
Brad Falchuk. The kids have been self-isolating with their mom over the past few weeks, where Paltrow has been working on her Goop brand from home."I think it must be pretty surreal for them to be the kids of somebody—well, both of their parents are in the public eye," Paltrow
said on Jimmy Kimmel Live in February. “It’s interesting to watch them sort of evolve along with our careers as they go. My son said to me the other day, ‘At first I thought it was embarrassing that there were vibrators on your website, and now I think it’s a great thing!’"Paltrow also previously shared Apple's
sarcastic take on her mom's imagined to-do list, which included a nod to those notorious
vagina candles.[video_embed id='1956777']RELATED: Kelly Clarkson tells us all about her secret talent[/video_embed]
