It’s time to call your hair stylist, and ask her if she can do the new Halle Berry. When she asks what that is, just send her this story.
The trend-setting star is bringing this edgy and cool cut to the mainstream, and we’re totally ok with it. In fact, we’ve already booked our appointment.
Berry recently unveiled the lotus-shaped floral undercut buzzed into the back of her head on Instagram.
The floral pattern is only visible when her hair is up in a pony, so she has the option to look a little more classic if she likes. But flip it up and POW! Personality guaranteed. It’s the kind of hair cut that your mom won’t be upset about, because you can hide the buzz-cut part, if you need.
Halle is not the first person to rock the look though—we’re sure you have a trendy friend who has been wearing this look for some time—but she is bringing it to a lot of people’s attention.
Berry’s been trimming her hair back since April, in preparation for her upcoming role in Kingsman: The Golden Circle. But this is just the latest evolution of her style, which, over the years has been one trend-setting look after the other.
Remember her short feathered style for the 2002 Bond film Die Another Day?
Or her longer, naturally curly locks she had as Catwoman in 2004? Also a solid look for Berry.
We can chalk this undercut up as just another great statement-making hairdo for Berry. And mark our words: this will be one of summer’s most popular looks.
