The big question for those of us who love Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan is “when are they going to start a family?” Well, turns out, they’ve already begun. That’s right, the Sussexes welcomed a new addition earlier this summer. According to People mag, Harry and Meghan got a dog together and the rumoured Labrador has been with the couple since June, getting some puppy love at their homes in the Cotswolds as well as Kensington Palace.
OK, it’s not an actual baby but a fur baby is one step closer, right?
It’s almost exactly what Will and Kate did in 2011. Shortly after their wedding, the Cambridges got Lupo, who has become a family fixture over the years. The cocker spaniel even got to share the limelight with Prince George, posing in their first family portrait (along with Tilly, the Middleton’s family pet, who was too tired to pose for the pic).
We all know how much of a dog lover Meghan is. While she left her pup, Bogart, in Toronto, her beloved beagle, Guy joined her in the U.K., and has made quite the impression, so much so that the Queen is reported to be quite taken with the doggo. Which is about right since Her Majesty’s corgis reportedly adore Meg. And while Harry hasn’t had any dogs of his own, he’s shown time and time again just how much he loves them so the timing is right. Though if any of those dogs crossed paths with Meghan, we think we know who they would choose.
Hmm, wonder what their dog’s name is, if it’s male or female, and when we’re going to get a pic of the four of them together. A family photoshoot of Harry, Meghan, Guy and Mystery Dog is definitely in order. Perhaps we can make some sort of formal royal request?
