Movin’ on up

We already know the Cambridges and the Sussexes are planning on splitting up their offices. But according to the Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan are also moving out of Kensington Palace altogether. They are said to be trading their cozy Nottingham Cottage, where the couple hid out from the paparazzi and made roast chicken during the early days of their relationship, for somewhere larger for their growing family. But that’s only one of the reasons.

“Harry and Meghan want to move, and need more space, but they don’t want to live next door to William and Catherine,” a source told the Mail. “They will soon have separate offices and separate lives, so it would make sense for them to live further afield. There is no reason why their London home has to be at Kensington Palace. There are plenty of other options, including using their own money to buy their own place.”

The insider pointed out it’s not just that Will and Harry “have their own families, [so] they no longer rely on each other as before” but also that “Catherine and Meghan live very different lives and that is likely to become more marked over time.”

It seems like the next logical step. The couples have to embark on many shared royal duties but they don’t have to do everything together. Meghan has proven she’s outspoken and will continue to advocate particular interests and causes, things Kate — or Will, for that matter — might not necessarily be as passionate about. And that’s OK. But there’s no need to pit the women — or the brothers — against one another. They just need to move on in their own spaces, nothing wrong with that. Now if only the Queen could find Harry and Meghan a property to make their own. It shouldn’t be too hard, there are several to choose from.

New pics from Charles’ birthday family photoshoot will stun you

We’ve seen a few pics from Prince Charles‘ 70th birthday and they were great. But a couple more have been released — outtakes, if you will — and well, they’re pretty freakin’ awesome. Basically? Louis is every grabby baby.

Sure, George and Charlotte‘s attention was elsewhere, but the rest of the royal gang were loving it — just like us.

There’s also a shot of Charles, Camilla, Harry and Meghan, taken in May, as they prepared for the 70th Birthday Patronage Celebration at Buckingham Palace. The other is Charles and his sons in July on the day the royals marked the centenary of the Royal Air Force.

And in case you missed it, there was this shot of Charles holding Louis.

You’re welcome.

‘The Office’ reunion on ‘SNL’ was pretty spectacular

On Saturday, Steve Carell returned to host Saturday Night Live for a third time. But during his monologue, he was surprised by a couple of familiar faces.

And the consensus was there should be a reboot of The Office. That’s right, the people have spoken and they want a reunion of the NBC show. So a reunion they got.

But that’s it. No reboot. Steve did tease us hard, only to announce “We’ve got a great show tonight!” Damn, Steve. Why do you have to break our hearts like that?
