The latest invites to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s big day in May have been sent to some very special guests.

The royal couple announced this week that the Armed Forces, who have a special connection to Prince Harry, will be providing ceremonial support during the couple’s wedding and carriage procession.

More than 250 members of the Armed Forces will attend and perform their duties at Windsor Castle on May 19th.

Streets surrounding the castle will be lined by members of the Windsor Castle Guard from 1st Battalion Irish Guards, and by Armed Forces personnel from the following units: the Royal Marines, the Royal Navy Small Ships and Diving, 3 Regiment Army Air Corps, the Royal Gurkha Rifles and RAF Honington. There will also be musical support provided by the Band of the Irish Guards.

“I am proud that members of the Armed Forces have been asked to take part in the ceremonial celebrations taking place on the royal couple’s wedding day,” Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, Chief of the Defence Staff, said in the statement. “It is a happy occasion for the whole country and reminds us of the role the Armed Forces play in marking important events in the life of the nation.”

“I am particularly pleased to hear that members of the Armed Forces who have a close relationship with Prince Harry will be taking part. Servicemen and women from the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force will all be honoured to offer their support,” he continued.

The military clearly holds a huge place in Prince Harry’s heart since he served in the Army for 10 years, where he rose to the rank of Captain and did two tours in Afghanistan. He also continues to work with and support his fellow veterans with initiatives like the Invictus Games, which is where he and Markle made their relationship debut in Toronto.

With less than two months to go until the big day, who else will be invited? If Harry is inviting his coworkers, can we expect to see Meghan’s Suits co-stars?
