He’s almost as well-known for his sartorial statements as his musical ones, so it comes as little surprise to learn that Harry Styles is the new face of Gucci. Sorry, make that one of its new faces, because he’s not the only one grabbing our attention in these newly released shots.
Not content with nabbing one of the most stylish men in the business (no pun intended), luxe fashion brand Gucci added a few other stars to front their new men’s tailoring campaign. Showing off a range of designs by famed Italian menswear designer Alessandro Michele, Gucci paired Styles with several dogs, and….a chicken. Yes, an actual chicken now stars in a high-profile fashion ad. Welcome to 2018.

Featured in a regular suburb outside of London, ordering at a fish and chip shop (or ‘chippy’), the high-meets-lowbrow, avant-garde-meets-regular-Joe aesthetic is a subversive and somewhat tongue-in-cheek angle from the high fashion brand. Noting its direct inspiration from British pop culture, they added the series of snaps evoke “many famous photographs and scenes from British films.” Indeed, the series seems a deliberate throwback to Michael Caine in sharp, well-cut suits in his Alfie/The Italian Job ’60s heyday.
Here are both Harry and chicken, modelling some gorgeously intricate embroidered lapels with aplomb:
And here’s Harry and an adorable dog, showing us that, hey, whilst he may be in a ridiculously expensive suit, he’s just a regular guy:
Oh, sorry, were you missing the chicken? Not to worry, here are two:

As for Harry himself, he’s used to making waves for his flamboyant Oscar Wilde/Mick Jagger-inspired attire, so the jump to actual high fashion isn’t a huge one. And that’s to say nothing of his supposed wardrobe overlap with none other than Cate Blanchett (another well-noted fashionista). Harry Styles post One Direction seems to be looking pretty darn good.
