Harry Styles hung out at a fan’s house after his car broke down

Proving that anything can happen if you fantasize about it long enough, a Harry Styles superfan recently shared the incredible story of the time the singer’s car broke down in front of her house. Having the pop singer waiting inside your home for a tow truck is pretty much the greatest thing that could happen to a Harry fanatic. The worst thing? Not being home when it happens. That was the case for the young girl in question, who for some reason left her house in 2020 only to come home and find out that she had missed meeting her favourite singer. This really has been a terrible year.The fan, named Theadora, shared the fan fiction come to life on Twitter on October 28, and revealed that after Styles’ car broke down on her street, a neighbor let the former One Direction member wait inside her home. Styles reportedly passed the time by drinking a cup of tea with Theadora’s dad, signing her albums (and adding a COVID-friendly mask to the cover) and feeding her fish. This is simultaneously the greatest and worst thing to ever happen to Theadora, and we are equal parts ecstatic and heartbroken for her.Theadora has kept her social media private so as not to be inundated with thousands of interview requests, but she did share a few pictures of Styles that her dad snapped in her home, and included the note the singer left for her. Well done, dad. Pictures or it didn’t happen, amirite?“Theadora, my car broke down on your street and your dad’s friend kindly let me wait at your house with a cup of tea. I’m devastated that we missed each other,” wrote Styles, who left a note on Theadora’s very cute and on-brand watermelon stationary. “Looking forward to meeting you soon. Treat people with kindness. All my love, Harry. P.S. I fed the fish.” Dead.Styles gave the likely-devastated Theadora a glimpse of hope, adding “Tell your dad to get in touch and I’ll see you at a show.”

The tweet was shared by photographer Sonya Jasinski, who along with Theadora has not disclosed the fan's location. The Daily Mail is reporting that Styles’ label asked the fan to delay releasing the story until this week to help protect Styles’ privacy.If we’ve learned anything from Theadora’s experience, it’s to continue physically distancing in 2020 by never, ever leaving your house. Also, keep your bedroom clean.

It’s unclear whether Harry was wearing his white driving gloves when he broke down, an accessory he sported in his latest music video for “Golden.” The video was shot along the Italian coastline and featured the singer running up and down the streets of Italy, presumably after his car broke down there as well. Theadora’s pictures of Styles confirm that the singer always looks effortlessly cool regardless of whether he’s shooting a music video or just driving around town.News of Styles’ car troubles arrives the same week that the British born singer endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Styles shared a video of Biden on Twitter, writing “If I could vote in America, I’d vote with kindness.” Thankfully, there is one celebrity left that we can continue to stan in 2020.
