May we have your attention, please. We just want to get this out of the way before anything else: Duchess Meghan has not — we repeat, has NOT — had the baby yet. That’s right. The royal bun is still in the oven, you haven’t missed anything. You can exhale the breath you’ve been holding in and relax for a bit. We do understand the confusion, though. There’s been lots of conspiracy theories being thrown about (the biggest being that baby is already here, um, no) but it also didn’t help matters that it was announced Harry is scheduled to go to the Netherlands for two days next week.

Royal reporter Omid Scobie pointed out that the trip, on behalf of the Prince’s beloved Invictus Games, was planned well in advance, so at the moment things are still a go. And if Baby Sussex hasn’t arrived by then? If birth is imminent? Or if, glory be, baby has arrived? Simple. Plans will be changed.

But back to the when of it all. Buckingham Palace has confirmed to numerous outlets that the media will be notified as to when Meghan is in labour, presumably in an effort to quell the rumours. Informing the public when she is in labour seems way more public than what Meghan and Harry seemed to have been going for, but we guess it’s a small price to pay in order to stop the rampant speculation.

We’ll all know soon enough anyway. People added that Harry, Meghan and Baby Sussex will pose for photos on the grounds of Windsor Castle in the days following the birth so we have that to look forward to. For now though, they’re still a family of two.
