The world of dating just reached a new low.

Since we all know breaking up can be a hard thing to do, there’s now a company in Calgary that’s willing to do it for you. Which means “ghosting” is no longer one of the most degrading ways to dump someone (yayy!).

Based in Calgary, The Breakup Shop offers a spineless variety of services which allow you to end things on your terms. For $5, one of the shop’s professional “Heartbreakers” (that is what these people are called) will Snapchat your partner with a “video or picture message with standard breakup text and one custom emoji.” For $20, you can get yourself a “standardized breakup letter created by our expert breakup team.” Finally, you can also order a breakup phone call ($30), which even gives you the option to create the message yourself (maximum one minute in length).

If you want to add a touch of class to your breakup service, you can also pair your breakup text with a bouquet of flowers. Or you can follow up your personalized breakup phone call with a “Breakup Gift Pack”, which includes a copy of The Notebook on blu-ray, Chips Ahoy! cookies, wine glasses, Netflix gift cards and more.

If you’re curious, a breakup text would go something like this, according to the company’s website:

“Hi Stephanie, We’re sending you this message on behalf of Danny. We regret to inform you that Danny is breaking up with you. Although you’ve had a good run and shared some great memories along the way, it’s time to move on. We offer you our deepest sympathies and wish you all the best in the future.”

Yeah…ouch.

But if you want to take a really bold approach to breaking up, do you want to know what we’d do? We’d meet with our partner and tell them ourselves, face-to-face, like a normal human being. Plus, you’ll save money (and integrity).
