The Brangelina bunch looks to be getting a new addition. That is, if Woman’s Day is correct. The Australian website claims they have the exclusive on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie adopting two-year-old Moussa from Syria.
Granted, it does jive with Angie’s recent mission to Iraq where she visited with victims of ISIS who have been displaced in refugee camps, calling to world leaders to step in and help end the fighting in Syria and Iraq. It’s a place where she has witnessed firsthand just how bad it can get, so adopting a child from there makes perfect sense.
Brad and Angelina have reportedly been working on adopting the toddler for months. He is currently in a refugee camp in Turkey — but not for long. According to the site, Jolie met Moussa during one of her visits to the Altinozu camp and was completely won over.
“Angelina heard about him from a translator and she was obviously upset, but Moussa was just beaming from ear to ear and when he saw she was wiping tears from her eyes he toddled up to her and gave her a hug and it was a very emotional moment and everyone was suddenly laughing and smiling,” a charity worker told Woman’s Day. “She kissed him on the top of his head and then they were basically inseparable for the rest of the visit.”
Jolie began the process of filing for adoption only after an extensive check confirmed he was an orphan.
If the story is true, lucky little Moussa would make seven (!!!), joining big siblings Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. We have to wonder, though, considering all the boys’ names end with an ‘x,’ will Moussa become Max? Whatever the case, this is wonderful news and just more proof that the Jolie-Pitts are the most generous, compassionate, loving people. Congrats!
