HBO may have a bit of a leak problem on their hands, but they have a gift for those of us who are holding out for the real thing. The network has released images for this Sunday’s penultimate season seven episode of Game of Thrones, and things are about to get REAL. Like, real cold, real scary, and real intense.
The biggest story line for Sunday’s episode, titled Beyond The Wall, is Jon and his boy band of fighters heading out on their quest to capture a White Walker. How do you capture a White Walker? Is there a human sacrifice involved? Did they bring a large sack or a cage for easy transportation should they actually catch one? How do you report a White Walker on your customs card? And even if they do get the White Walker and bring it all the way to King’s Landing, how do they get into the city without Cersei immediately having them killed? It feels like a plan that needs a lot more brainstorming.
Right about now, Jon is probably wishing that he packed a toque.
And hoping Beric will stop yammering on about the Lord of Light.
Tormund is wishing the ‘big woman,’ aka Brienne, was with them.
Jorah is likely wishing he’d let the greyscale kill him.
Beric is very happy he packed his flaming sword. Who needs a dragon when you can set your sword on fire? Actually, we still definitely need dragons.
Speaking of dragons, while Jon and his men are out risking their lives, Tyrion and Daenerys appear to be having a pleasant picnic with Dany’s kids.
The pair discuss their next strategic move, with Tyrion likely attempting to sway Dany away from actions that will turn her into her father, the Mad King.
Back at Winterfell, the repercussions from Littlefinger planting the letter Cersei forced Sansa to write under duress, in which she called her father Ned a traitor, appear to be playing out between the recently reunited sisters. Can’t we just have one nice family dinner?
Before she was murdered, Catelyn Stark entrusted Brienne with keeping both of her daughters safe. That presumably includes stopping them from killing each other as well.
