How do you get rid of the Sunday blahs? With a double sized episode of Love Island (Monday-Sunday, 9pm on CTV) that features the most shocking recoupling in the show’s history. The introduction of Casa Amor tested all five couples, and some came out stronger, while others got the clarity they needed to end things. It’s a well-known couples counseling technique to add abs and bikinis to any relationship that is struggling. The recoupling ceremony somehow managed to fit all five couples plus a few new Islander additions on the couch while the six new Islanders who did not get picked were asked to immediately leave. We hope there’s a third house where they can meet up and find love. Or at least play 18 more games of Truth or Dare. Enjoy the non-physical distancing life while you can, Islanders!

CALEB AND JUSTINE

These two tall drinks of water reunited to become the new power couple in the villa and we’re happier than an Islander who just got a text. They give the best advice, they stayed loyal to each other, and Caleb can pull off borderline cheesy lines like, “At the end of multiple days it was still you.” The king and queen of the castle are back.

JOHNNY AND CELY

Surprising no one but Johnny, Cely was upset that the guy who said he was 100 percent all in with her had to 100 percent make out multiple times with Mercades to be 110 percent sure he liked Cely. Carrington’s aggressive neck rubbing during Johnny’s lengthy recoupling speech was a clear indicator that he knew the storm that was coming after having a front row seat at Casa Amor.Johnny did his best to put the blame on Mercades before "putting the ball in Cely’s court," aka: apologizing once and then forcing Cely to convince herself that he wasn’t a waste of her time. Caleb told Johnny to stop justifying his actions, take a step back and nurture their relationship. Justine told Cely that Johnny, not Cely, looked dumb (well actually, "dumb as hell" were her exact words). See? Best advice!Cely let Johnny sweat even more than he typically does for an entire day before agreeing to move forward with their relationship. Be the man Cely deserves, Johnny.

MACKENZIE AND CONNOR

The biggest shocker of the night went to Mackenzie, who picked Jalen, leaving Connor alone with Gus the teddy bear. Earning his title as "Nicest Guy In the Villa/World," Connor delivered a beautiful speech about how much he cared for Mackenzie without appearing to be a doormat. It’s a balance. “I do feel hurt right now. I do feel like I was a little taken advantage of, a little slighted,” said Connor. “I chose to be loyal, committed and keep my trust there for you. I have nothing but amazing things to say about you and I hope that the person that you chose can see that in you as well and help you grow to be the person you’re meant to be.” Dayum, that is a nice dude. Not everyone had kind words for Mackenzie, including the OG guys, who all wanted the couple to break up before now. Shouldn’t they be celebrating Mackenzie for finally making that happen? “I’m glad you’re not with her,” said Johnny. “I think she’s a manipulative liar and I have little to no respect for her. You owe her nothing,” said Caleb. Harsh, said us. Mackenzie was happy with her decision to recouple with Jalen, but the honeymoon phase ended fast and Mackenzie quickly found that her love tank was not being filled. Jalen spent most of their first day as a couple trying to take Caleb and Justine’s jobs as the Villa Therapist (bro, do you even have a PhD from Love Island Medical School?). More specifically, he wanted to make sure that Kierstan knew she was beautiful. So beautiful. The most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. KIERSTAN AND CARRINGTON

Kierstan stayed true to herself and decided to stick with Carrington even though they ended things before he left the Villa. Carrington picked slow-walking Laurel and gave a speech during the recoupling ceremony that Kierstan called "condescending" and Calvin called "savage." We called it "the most we’ve ever heard Carrington speak at once." Even after his speech, Kierstan was still interested in Carrington. Love yourself, Kierstan.

MOIRA AND CALVIN

Moira recoupled with Aaron with the hope that their relationship would be as good as his handstands. Even though Moira blocked Kierstan from getting to know Aaron, she’s not sure he’s the one for her. James was an oddball, Calvin had red flags, and Aaron is perfect but lacking sparks. Moira spent most of the two hour show in tears because the three guys she’s been matched with haven’t been her soulmates. No pressure. As for Calvin, he continued the odd choices trend and picked Sher, even though it’s still unclear whether they share any sparks.Watch new episodes of Love Island Monday-Sunday, 9pET on CTV.[video_embed id='-1']BEFORE YOU GO: Golden Retriever puppies have their first pool experience [/video_embed]
