Update! The collection is here and available to shop at Fenty.

Finally! Rihanna’s long-awaited fashion label with LVMH, Fenty, is set to launch its first collection in just two days. It marks the first original LVMH brand launch since 1987, and the first original ever helmed by a woman. And just ahead of its official debut, we’ve finally got a sneak peek at the first release. ‘Weapon.’ Is it a feast for the eyes? Is it everything we love about RiRi and more? Does it leave us wanting more? From the looks of things, it’s yes, yes, and a resounding yes.

The debut collection features ready-to-wear pieces, accessories, shoes, and we’re seeing fanny packs, shades, dark denim galore, plenty of menswear-inspired outfits, monochrome, strong shoulders, and just a touch of pastel.

It seems for her first go-around, RiRi opted mostly for the mini-est of mini-skirts for some ensembles, and oversized but chic, pants for others:

The whole collection is reminiscent of the personal, eclectic style we’ve become accustomed to seeing on Rihanna over the past few years, and we love it:

And at a pop-up in Paris on Friday, ahead of the official online launch, Rihanna surprised fans by turning up to the event in person. After all, she did make the move to Europe for the label, so why not be there every step of the way? Speaking of which, some fans shared a peek of some of the footwear we can expect…

Here are some pics of Rih herself rocking her own designs:

Considering the innovative direct-to-consumer model, all items will be available directly online, meaning we won’t have to wait to get our hands on our favourite pieces. It also means new items could be dropped at any time (much like singles from an album), so we’ll be keeping our peeled for stylish new additions. Which garment will you be saving up for? Either way, we can’t wait. See you on the 29th, and beyond.
