The world of social media influencers is being dominated by women.
A list compiled by D’Marie, a company that specializes in social media analytics, ranks Hollywood’s leading ladies as the biggest breadwinners when it comes to the social sphere. And it’s not just images of these perfectly made-up faces that are dominating our feed. They’re influencing what we buy and how we spend, and they’re getting paid to do so.
Selena Gomez leads the pack, charging an estimated $550,000 for a post going out to her 180-million-plus followers and fans across the Big Three platforms, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. No, our finger didn’t accidentally stick on the 0 button, that’s the actual value of being promoted by Selena Gomez to Selena Gomez’ fans. That figure is double what D’Marie reported she and fellow influencers T.Swift, Kylie Jenner and Cara Delevingne were asking last December.
Gomez’ has partnered with brands like Coca-Cola, Pantent and Kmart, who no doubt have the money, and she does so very sparingly.
Wow, weird. Suddenly we’re craving a soda… and just don’t know why….
And maybe an icy treat to go with that bottle of Coke. Mmm, yeah, that sounds just delightful!

And flowers. Yeah, we need flowers! All the flowers!

The first male on the list is Justin Bieber, and he doesn’t show up in the rankings until number 11. Let’s be honest, we’re a lot more likely to buy something that has Selena’s stamp of approval than the Biebs.
According to D’Marie’s latest, Kendall Jenner is the second most influential with her sister Kylie in third place. Then Rihanna, and then Béyonce. Wow, who runs the world? We’ll let Béyonce, and this list of influencers, answer that one.
