If you’ve ever wanted to venture underwater in a submarine, now’s your chance. A new Airbnb contest is offering guests the once-in-a-lifetime chance to stay aboard a research ship and use its submarines for three days and two nights.

And we’re not just talking about an ordinary boat. In fact, the ship — known as the Alucia —  has been featured on BBC’s Blue Planet II. The lucky winners will get to board the ship with one guest and take part in an actual submarine expedition with a team of scientists, researchers and filmmakers.

Here’s your chance to stay on a submarine at the bottom of the sea
Airbnb

BBC Producer Orla Doherty will act as the ship’s host and guide since she’s already logged more than 500 hours on board the Alucia, so you’ll be in good hands. Guests will eat their meals alongside the crew and spend their days exploring the ocean floor around the Bahamas in one of the Alucia’s two submersibles, where shipwrecks and marine life will be visible. If you’re lucky enough to win your way onto the ship, you’ll also get to learn about the ocean and the impact human life is having on the world’s water source.

Airbnb

As stated in the Airbnb posting, this trip is not a luxury resort and winners will have to adhere to strict rules, including no high heels, no skinny dipping, no night swimming, no selfies with deep sea creatures and no fishing. With an English-speaking crew, the contest also requires that the winners be fluent in English. Oh, and don’t watch Jaws and The Abyss before boarding the Alucia. Yes, that’s actually one of the listed rules and it’s probably a good one to follow.

The contest winners will have all of their accommodations taken care of, which includes a bedroom with two beds and one bathroom, shampoo, hangers, meals, heating, air conditioning and TV, although we don’t think anything on prime time can rival what guests will be able to see through their portholes.

Airbnb

The contest is currently open to enter and the lucky winner will get to experience the Alucia from April 4, 2018 until April 8, 2018. So if you’re looking to get a closer look at ocean life and have a vacation experience unlike any other, make sure to enter before the contest closes on February 10.
