After that bit of foreshadowing –are you even allowed to say no to the Prime Minister?– at the beginning of a star studded Juno Awards, we’d be satisfied with nothing less than Bryan Adams belting out “Summer of ‘69” at some point in the evening.

Following a series of stellar performances by the likes of The Strumbellas, Ruth B, Shawn Mendes and more of Canada’s greats, we knew something big had to be in the offing to cap it all off.

We ended up getting just what we were asking for, and then some. In a finale worth staying up for, Bryan Adams rounded out the night with a show we won’t be forgetting any time soon. Joining Michael Bryan on stage for the last performance of the night were Sarah McLachlan, Alessia Cara, members of Billy Talent, Arkells and more for an epic rendition of Adams’ ’84 hit. And if you’re not still humming it from last night, well, prepare to start singing along.

Miss the big show, or just want to relive it over and over again? Catch the whole thing on ctv.ca.
