Winter storms have a way of conjuring up a variety of emotions in Canadians. Which is why we’re excited that Facebook unveiled its new reaction buttons today, so that we can finally express ourselves properly when responding to updates of our friends’ various winter-related struggles online.

If you haven’t already noticed, the “like” buttom has changed slightly. If you hover your cursor over the button for a few seconds without clicking, additional options will appear, including “Wow”, “Haha”, and “Angry”. Which is great, because images of a car stuck in snow aren’t exactly “like” appropriate.

But the button still has its uses. Whenever a winter storm is on the way, some Canadians get excited over the prospect of beautiful, powdery streets or the possibility of a day off from work.

But sometimes we need to break out the “Wow” factor:

After all, snowstorms are complicated:

Like, love AND angry??

They can turn roads into deathtraps:

And cut off your power:

And ruin your travel plans…

But at least now you can vent at the snowbirds who left before you:

Snowstorms don’t have to be all bad though

Heck, maybe you can even start that project you’ve been thinking about
