Hannah Horvath is looking to make her mark on The Big Apple. At least that’s the impression we’re left with heading into the final season of Girls. Now that the official promo for the last-ever season has dropped, we finally have some clues about what may actually be in store for this sixth season.

As we can see from the trailer above, Hannah may or may not be considering a move out of New York to pursue other dreams. Sure, it wouldn’t be the first time she left the city (we all remember her Iowa writers’ workshop), but we were always left with the impression that she was eventually coming back. Now we’re not so sure, considering portrayer Lena Dunham has to end this story somehow.

“Their last chance… to almost get it right,” promises the teaser script in the trailer, which also features some dancing and inexplicable surfing lesson scenes.

Meanwhile, it looks like life is trucking along fairly steadily for the rest of the New York crew. Shoshanna is still trying to find her way with work now that she’s back from Japan, and she may rely on Elijah to help her do it. For her part, Marni looks pretty happy with puppy dog boyfriend Ray, something that will clearly rub Hannah the wrong way. We all know she hates other people’s happiness when she can’t be happy herself.

Speaking of, it looks like Adam and Jessa are as tight as ever despite a couple of hiccups last season. Has Hannah really gotten over them as a couple as she wrote at the end of last season? Let’s hope so, because Hannah and Adam were never great for each other anyhow. Apartment-trashing Jessa and Adam are infinitely more interesting.

At any rate, we’ll find out soon enough. The final 10 episodes debut this February, marking a historic end to the show that put Lena Dunham and her “voice of a generation” on the Hollywood map.

Girls returns Sunday, Feb 12 to HBO Canada.
