Rental and housing markets aren’t all facing huge increases like in Vancouver (remember this house? or this bungalow?). There are some places in the world where $1,500 a month can get you a pretty decent pad. That said, it’s not all roses. Take New York City, for example, where $1,500 will get you a shoebox-sized studio overlooking the East River. Meanwhile, in Japan, that same amount of money could get you a three-bedroom palace in Suginami. Location, location, location, right?
Now, Canada is not immune to lofty rent pricing. In Langley, B.C. and Burlington, ON, the average rental hovers around the $1,500 mark. And currently, there is no reason to suspect that the markets are going to come to an abrupt slow-down. But you want to see what these places around the world look like inside, don’t you? We don’t blame you. We’d need to see the merchandise before we hopped on a plane to any of these places. Check out the video above to see just how much $1,500 rent gets you.
