If you’ve ever thought about how terrific it would be to dress your child up as chic and stylishly as Kim and Kanye’s 2-year-old daughter North West, here’s your chance. But you’ll probably have to mortgage your home.
French fashion house Balmain just announced that they are launching a North West-inspired children’s fashion line this June, giving parents the opportunity to buy their children hip, high-end clothes, just like the stuff little North wears.
Balmain creative director (and Kardashian pal) Olivier Rousteing says he was inspired to create the line after designing clothes for North.
“I think I first thought about designing kidswear when I dressed North. I had a conversation with Kim, and that was the beginning of how I really understood that the Balmain universe can also belong to kids.”
The collection will feature 55 stylish items for both boys and girls, ranging from ages six to 14. Rousteing previewed some of the mini-couture on his Instagram.
The line features a variety of swanky blazers and pants:

And of course band jackets, furs, and tulle tutus, North’s favourite.
It all looks great, right? But here’s the (extra swift) kicker. The clothes cost a queasy fortune. The line ranges in price from around $288 for just a plain sleeveless tee to $8,365 for a dress…a black, tiny, little girl’s dress. And don’t forget taxes, shipping and tariffs, fellow Canadians. Yes, we just shivered, too.
The pieces will feature the same military influence as the adult Balmain clothes, so your kids will have the opportunity to look like spoiled little soldiers.
Are you going to place an order this summer?
