Lori Loughlin’s daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, has been trying to keep a low profile in light of the college admissions scandal and the part her parents played in getting her and her sister into USC. But the YouTube star just posted a pic with a very clear message.
Olivia Jade posted a photo of herself on Instagram, wearing a smug smile and her middle fingers up. And her comment revealed to whom she was directing her ire, as she tagged the Daily Mail, Star magazine, People, Perez Hilton and, well, every other media outlet with the hashtags #close #source #says, basically implying that whomever those outlets are getting their information from isn’t exactly reliable. Many of Olivia Jade’s nearest and dearest backed her fired up in the comments section including her sister, Bella, who wrote: “not over you and this – QUEEN.” Tana Mongeau chimed in, “oh……my………god i am speechless,” while Stassie Karanikolaou added: “there she is.”
Aside from a birthday tribute post to her mom in late July, Olivia Jade hasn’t posted anything since late February. It was in March when Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannuli were among those accused of bribing their way into getting their children into good colleges. Several people have pled guilty in the scandal, including actress Felicity Huffman, but Lori and Mossimo rejected a plea deal and have opted to fight the charges against them. A source told People in May that Loughlin’s reasoning for not accepting the plea deal was simple: she didn’t think it was a big deal. “From the beginning, she didn’t want to take a deal, because she felt that she hadn’t done anything that any mom wouldn’t have done, if they had the means to do so,” said the insider. “So this wasn’t her being obstinate; this was her truly not understanding the seriousness of the allegations.”
As Loughlin and Giannuli prepare to go to trial (sometime in October), Olivia Jade’s career hasn’t been picking up as much as she had hoped. While she was hoping to make a comeback, the offers haven’t exactly been rolling in nor has she been able to reconnect with Sephora and TRESemmé, who ended their partnerships with her when the news broke. As far as Olivia Jade is concerned, she has been a victim in all this. This probably isn’t going to go over well. And perhaps those whose parents didn’t or don’t have the means to pay their way into getting their kids into school may be aiming their middle fingers at her.
