Ask and Jimmy Fallon shall receive. All the Tonight Show host had to say was he would love to sing a duet with Kelly Clarkson and like the Wizard, she popped out from behind the curtain with microphone in hand, eager and game and as awesome as ever.

If you have a favourite duet from the last half century, chances are Jimmy and Kelly performed it in “History of Duets.” From Sonny and Cher‘s “I Got You, Babe” and Pink and Nate Ruess‘ “Just Give Me a Reason” to Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat’s “Opposites Attract” and Diana Ross and Lionel Richie‘s “Endless Love,” they ran through a playlist anyone would love and everyone should hear.

Except perhaps Fallon’s Aaron Neville impression. It was only so-so.
