It was supposed to be a huge week for Kylie Jenner. The reality star/makeup maven/self-made billionaire was supposed to attend the Emmy Awards with sisters Kim Kardashian West and Kendall Jenner, then head to Paris Fashion Week, but illness kept her from attending both events.
TMZ reported that Kylie has been suffering from an "intense illness" for several days, so intense in fact that she checked into an L.A.-area hospital this week. Sources told the gossip site that Jenner had severe flu-like symptoms including nausea and dizziness. And it must've been serious because Kylie seems like the kind of girl who would power through a cold if work needed to be done. And what a week of work it would've been.Not only was she way too sick to co-present the Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program to
RuPaul's Drag Race (though based on the laughter they elicited from the in-studio audience and
the reaction from people watching at home, she's lucky to have missed it), but she also had to skip out on Paris Fashion Week — much more disappointing.
On Tuesday, Jenner announced her collaboration with Olivier Rousteing, fashion designer and the creative director of Balmain, for the Kylie x Balmain Collection. And while she has to miss the epic event, her team will power through. In fact, mom Kris Jenner is already in Paris to oversee it all. But Kylie will be cheering on Rousteing and everyone else who have worked so hard on the collection.
People reports Caitlyn Jenner has visited Kylie a few times in Kris' absence, adding that the 22-year-old's diagnosis or current health status remains unknown. Hopefully it's nothing serious and all she needs is a little rest.The good news? The Kylie x Balmain makeup collection will be unveiled on Friday, the same day it launches on the
Kylie Cosmetics website.
